Literally, (Oh My Word) was all could say between laughing and crying (the tears were rolling down my cheeks most of the book).From page one to the end this book had me laughing with the antics between Kat and Jenny. And when Rose walks in.... just too much.
We see Our CB again and well rescuing her was a hoot. Yes, you read it right... we were rescuing CB. There is a new guy and darn he is so amazing. We have new additions to our pet family. We meet new friends and they are fun.
I love that our girls are back and that they are having a ball travelling. I just love the antics between Jenny and Kat. What I love most was when A**hat oops Steve, the ex of Kat pitched... Jenny was first in line to protect Kat, not that Kat needed protecting... you just have to read it...
Oooh, you need to read about all the episodes of their cute pets... I was laughing so hard I might have wet myself.
And then there is this part of Steve and... well that you need to all about.. but I was seriously holding my tummy from all the laughing.
Oh let's not start with Candie, wanna-be-author that tried to bad mouth Rose. Oh my word... I don't think she knows what an insult is when it kicks her. And Garrett, hot cowboy male, did it so well I was so impressed with him.
Author Lisa Miller has a splendid sense of humour that has worked itself brilliantly into her work. I totally adore her work. Although I have laughed through most of her book, I have learnt just as much from the wisdom Jenny has given to her fellow friends. This book is so well balanced with well-developed characters that have you reeling with laughter from the start.
They are like the friends you always needed in your life. Each of these ladies represent someone we want to be or how we want to be. Strong, outspoken, crazy, funny, calm and loving.
I admire this author so much in showing the strengths of her characters but also their vulnerabilities. I love that the stand up for one another, the result is often hilarious.
My advice is: buy this book, read it. And I dragged this book out because I didn't want it to end. But it has everything you will need on this adventurous journey: fun, crazy women, hmmm love? And a healthy dose of Kat wanting to kill people!

What can I say, that I didn't say after reading Pieces of us, Book 1? The girls go off on another road trip, this time on a book tour. Along the way, they meet a pretty mean wanna be author, who is just down right ugly, for lack of a better word! Of course they get into more shenanigans, but it wouldn't be a road trip without more shenanigans...at least for this group of friends! They will literally make you laugh so hard, you'll cry! They might snip and insult each other, but you know real quick it's out of love. I'm not giving away too much, but it's such a fabulous story of a tight knit group of friends that have a blast together, no matter what the circumstance. They stick together like glue. I felt as if I was back on that road trip with them again! I simply cannot wait until the next part of their story unfolds! You will not be disappointed!
If you haven’t yet read either of Lisa’s books yet then you have yet to discover the wit, the camaraderie the sheer delight that you will discover between the pages of her books. Her caustic use of humour between these four ladies; dare I use that term? Will have you chortling with delight, yet there’s also a great togetherness that emanates from her characters that will draw you into her books.
The first was fun, great fun, but this one adds spice by adding sex to the proceedings. Not erotica but that smattering of naughtiness that we all embrace in outr own lives. Buy them, read them and I guarantee you will love it.
This second book is so interesting,adventurous, spell binding that it was hard to put it down. I am eagerly anticipating the third book.
Love both Pieces of Us and Second Chances. Great books. Kept my attention from the start!!! Can't wait for book 3. Love this author and her books. Would recommend these books to all my friends.
I loved it!! I could not stop reading it. She makes her characters so realist and natural. The book made me laugh and I enjoyed every page. I love that fact that she can shock me with the ladies antics. Would highly recommend the book. I can't wait for the third book.
You did it again Lisa K Miller, even having a massive migraine you were able to make me laugh out loud and I thought I was gonna pee my pants a couple of times! Just love your work!
Best friends really are forever says it all. The writing style of Lisa Miller is unique and fresh. You will laugh, cry, gasp, and cuss, but you will not be sorry.
The road trip continues with Rose, Jenny, and Kat in more mischief and mayhem than any three friends could possibly handle, but they do, and they do it all with finesse and grace. Oh, who am I kidding? This trip is full of chaos, craziness, hot flashes, and near death experiences at every turn and you will enjoy every minute of it, including the very sexy Oliver Easton, sigh…oh, and did I mention the hamster? OMG, if you don’t pee your pants you are not human!
I thoroughly enjoyed this second book in the series and am waiting, no wanting more. 5 stars Lisa Miller!
